When you register and use the VHP Helpline app, we collect the following information:

Personal Information: Your name and phone number (collected during OTP verification).
Location Data: Your precise or approximate location when you submit an issue using the map feature.
User-Generated Content: Descriptions, photos, and any other evidence you upload while submitting a report.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

To verify your identity and prevent spam or fake reporting.
To allow our authorized responders to contact you regarding the issues you report.
To locate the area of the incident and dispatch assistance effectively.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data is accessible only to authorized VHP administrators and responders. However, we may disclose your information to law enforcement or government authorities if required by law, or to assist in legal investigations.

4. Data Security

Your data is securely stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase). We implement strict access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can view sensitive reports.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this directly from the "Settings" menu within the application by clicking "Delete My Account & Data". Upon doing so, your profile and personally identifiable information will be permanently removed from our active database.
